The problem with GW1 is the same one I have been saying for awhile. The other MMOs out there are coming out with new expansions, and some new games are about to pop up. This is going to take away from GW1 because there is simply nothing to keep people playing.
If you look at the list of MMO expansions about to hit, and then look at the list of new MMOs coming out soon, you can see that the GuildWars team needs to do something to keep people interested.
I have seen in other games that it really doesn't take much to keep people interested. You do not have to put out new areas and such every month. Just add a quest or two a month, or change up some of the current content that isn't played. There is a good amount of content in GW that is never played, it doesn't seem to hard to go back and change the area to make it more interesting or fun to play through. Take some of the remote areas of Mag jungle and rework them. Maybe redo all the creatures from Majesty's Rest to be more themed around bone dragons.
I don't have the answer, but I hope that GW does something because the game is becoming more and more empty. That really isn't something anyone wants.
